Heaven's Seat

Heaven’s Seat is a floating city that is the result of the pinnacle of human achievement. Built on an overturned mountaintop, the entire city sits directly on the flow of the Leyline, an immovable stone in an unseen river of power [although very few of its citizens have Leyline abilities].  Many consider the city to be aptly named, viewing it as the pinnacle of all Novus One has to offer as a world.  The most historic treaties, deals, and alliances have all been struck within the city borders.  The floating chunk of land is said to be the last vestige of magic given the landmass is suspended in air, though modern day scientists have found the ground itself to be infused with a rare material resistant to gravity in the traditional sense.  It is also the centric point of the leylines traversing the world and a kind of focal point for that kind of power, though that has yet to reveal itself in any meaningful way.  The future is brought to life here, and as if gifts from the Gods themselves, handed down from above high.
